Douglas County Library Series: Family Field Trips

  • Parker Library 20105 Mainstreet Parker, CO, 80138 United States (map)

Want to sneak in a little learning while exploring the great outdoors?

In writing, the adage is, “Show, don’t tell.” That rule works equally well for education, where real-world experiences tend to be more meaningful to kids than textbooks and lectures. In this interactive talk, I’ll discuss the concept of family field trips and share ideas and tips for planning experiential adventures in Colorado and beyond. Get ready to learn about the Front Range’s best nature centers, farms, outdoor history museums, art walks, open-air theaters, story walks, and so much more. This is the second talk in a free, three-part series hosted by Douglas County Libraries.
